Controlled-Release Compound Fertilizer Production Line
Raw Materials
The raw materials for controlled-release compound fertilisers are mainly divided into three categories: basic fertiliser raw materials (forming the nutrient core), controlled-release materials (forming the coating layer), and auxiliary additives (improving the process or performance). The specific composition varies according to the product formula, controlled-release technology, and target crop requirements.
1. Raw material pre-treatment and blending: Crush and screen raw materials such as nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, then thoroughly mix the metered powdered raw materials to ensure uniformity.
2. Granulation: Form the uniformly mixed powder into granules using drum granulation, extrusion granulation, or disc granulation.
Name |
Capacity |
Advantages |
Rotary Granulation |
5-30 tons/h |
High yield, most suitable for large-scale industrial production, with good particle uniformity. |
Double Roll Granulation |
1-8 tons/h |
Usually no drying process, extremely high particle strength. |
Disc Granulation |
1-10 tons/h |
Simple structure, intuitive operation, easy to adjust. |
3. Granule drying and cooling: Use a rotary dryer to reduce the moisture content of the granules after granulation, enhance their strength and flowability, and cool the high-temperature granules to near room temperature, facilitating subsequent coating and screening/packaging.
4. Controlled-release coating (core process): Use a coating machine to form one or more layers of semi-permeable or biodegradable coating on the surface of the core fertiliser granules to control the nutrient release rate. Coating materials include acrylic resin, sulphur, etc. After coating, the coating layer is cured to ensure it is fully dried, cross-linked, or solidified, forming a stable controlled-release structure.
5. Screening and Grading: Separate finished particles that meet specifications. Oversized particles are crushed and reused, while fine powders are returned for re-granulation.
6. Final Packaging: Use automatic palletising robots or manual palletising for packaging. Packaging materials include woven bags lined with plastic film, coated bags, or ton bags.

Q: Can I use this production line to produce multi granularity particles? |
Yes, our production line is multifunctional. We can customize ring moulds of different sizes. In this way, you can easily adjust the size of your ball. |
Q: I know little about the fertilizer production line. How to choose the most suitable machine? |
Just tell us your raw materials, capacity (tons / hour) and the size of the final particle product, and we will choose the machine for you according to your specific situation. |
Q: Our workers don't know how to operate the production line. What should I do? |
Our engineers will instruct the site workers on how to install the machines and build the workshop. And field test the production line, training workers how to operate. |
Q: Are you a trading company or a manufacturer? |
We have a large factory in Xinxiang, China, covering an area of 10000 square meters. Welcome to visit. |
Q: What's the Production Period of the Fertilizer Machine? |
For single fertilizer machine, our production time is 7 days;and for whole fertilizer production line, our production time is no more than 30 days. |
Q: What's the Quality Guarantee and Certifications? |
All of our machine have passed ISO and CE certification, we can guarantee the highest quality and our warranty time is 5 years after shipment date. |
