Oil mills serve as the "granaries" for organic fertilizer production lines. Through physical or chemical methods, they extract oils from oilseeds such as rapeseed, soybeans, peanuts, and cottonseed. The resulting waste products-rapeseed meal, soybean meal, peanut meal, cottonseed meal, etc. The characteristics of the oil residue produced after processing different raw materials in the oil mill also vary, which significantly impacts the production of organic fertilizer.
How to Make Organic Fertilizer from Oil Residue?
1. Fermentation and Turning: Ferment oil residue with microbial inoculants such as rice husks or mushroom residue using a rotary fermenter. Form the fermented material into elongated piles and turn them using a turning machine.
2. Crushing and Mixing: Fermented and turned material may form slight clumps, requiring further crushing with a vertical crusher or semi-wet material crusher to ensure adequate fineness for granulation preparation.
3. Granulation: Select an appropriate granulator based on product requirements and raw material characteristics, such as Rotary Drum Granulator, Stirring Pin Granulator, or Double Roller Granulator.

4. Drying and Cooling: Granules produced through granulation have high moisture content and soft texture. They must be dried in a rotary drum dryer using hot air to reduce moisture to industry standards, then cooled using natural or cold air.
5. Screening: Cooled pellets vary in size and are graded using a screening machine. Qualified pellets proceed to the next stage, while oversized particles or powder are crushed and returned to the mixing stage for re-granulation.
6. Packaging: Final products are weighed using an automatic quantitative packaging scale and loaded into bags. The packaging machine seals the bags, which are then transported to the finished goods warehouse
