Slow-Release Compound Fertilizer Production Line
Raw Materials
Urea-formaldehyde slow-release compound fertiliser production raw materials mainly include basic chemical raw materials, catalysts, neutralizers and auxiliary ingredients, the core of which is urea and formaldehyde through the polycondensation reaction to generate urea-formaldehyde resin.
1. Raw material pre-treatment: Crush large raw materials (such as urea, ammonium phosphate, potassium salts, etc.) and mix them evenly in a mixer. Urea, formaldehyde solution, etc. are mixed in a certain ratio. A condensation reaction is carried out in a reactor, alkaline substances are added, and the mixture is adjusted to neutrality to form resin.
2. Granulation: Form the powdered mixture into granules with specific strength and particle size. Common granulation processes include drum granulation, double-roll granulation, and disc granulation.

3. Granule drying and cooling: Use a rotary dryer to reduce the moisture content of the granules after granulation, enhance their strength and flowability, and cool the high-temperature granules to near room temperature, facilitating subsequent coating and screening/packaging.
4. Controlled-release coating (core process): Use a coating machine to form one or more layers of semi-permeable or biodegradable coating on the surface of the core fertiliser granules to control the nutrient release rate. Coating materials include acrylic resin, sulphur, etc. After coating, the coating layer is cured to ensure it is fully dried, cross-linked, or solidified, forming a stable controlled-release structure.
5. Screening and Grading: Separate finished particles that meet specifications. Oversized particles are crushed and reused, while fine powders are returned for re-granulation.
6. Final Packaging: Use automatic palletising robots or manual palletising for packaging. Packaging materials include woven bags lined with plastic film, coated bags, or ton bags.
